Addi Express Machine Knit Socks
(You may want to refer to Sylvie Rasch’s video and to the tips posts listed below before beginning.
These cue sheets won’t teach you how to make a sock on an Addi, but will make knitting socks a lot easier
once you understand the basic process.)
These instructions consist of five steps:
1. Cuff: Cast-on, cranking counter-clockwise, completing rounds for cuff.
2. Heel: Parts one and two.
3. Foot: Completing rounds, counter-clockwise, for foot
4. Toe: Parts one and two.
5. Finish: Grafting toe seam and winding in ends.
STEP 1 – Casting on and Cuff
Cast on COUNTER-CLOCKWISE, starting at needle 1. Yarn goes behind needle 2, if using over/under method.
After casting on all needles, work one round to needle 2, then:
Complete 30 (or as preferred) COUNTER-clockwise rounds for cuff, stopping at black needles.
(This pattern does not include ribbed cuff illustrated in Rasch video.)
STEP 2A – Heel, First Section
Check every vane! Keep tension even, ensure all yarns stay in place under vanes!
1. Continue to other side, stop when needle 10 is level. Loop goes over needle 9 (yarn is pulled from 7/8). Marker goes on # 9.

Thank you so much for your sick knitting cue sheets! Sylvie’s video was interesting and my first sock that I did trying to follow her video turned out vaguely sock shaped. Lol
I appreciate the time you took to share with us!
You´re very welcome, Stephanie! I´ll always be grateful for Silvie´s video, because without it I´d *really* have been lost! Thanks for leaving your comment — I´m glad the cue sheets were helpful!
