Sources — Terri’s List

Terri, a reader, has sent this marvelous list of fabric sources, which she’s given me permission to share.  I’ve left her notes intact, because they are very helpful! She reminded me, too, that many shops sell by the half-yard, or half-meter, so beware! This is not a practice that I’m happy about, but it’s important to understand how the fabric is sold — a half-meter or yard price looks a lot better than the double it really is for a whole meter or yard.

American Fabric Sellers

Terri noted that she hasn’t yet purchased from any of these USA sources. I’ve added Milli & Dot, (recommended by Terri after she’d sent this list) and have just received an order from them. I was very pleased with speed, accuracy, and quality!

https://www.jumpingjunetextiles.com Love her imports. If she was Canadian I would buy a lot from her.

https://www.loiseaufabrics.com/ Calgary, Alberta Great quality fabrics & service. I have purchased several knits from this site. They also have a referral program – if you choose to order from them we both get a discount. Info here: https://www.loiseaufabrics.com/loiseau-fabrics-referral-program/  [Note from Noile: I don’t participate in referral programs, but readers might mention Terri K. if they like!]

https://www.mimifabrics.ca/ Ottawa, Ontario Imports mainly from Germany. Wish she was closer – she has quite a Facebook following & now runs sewing get togethers & open house for shopping. Very helpful as well.

https://sitkafabrics.com/ Port Alberni BC Lots of European knits, cottons, linen – all good quality & service is great.

https://www.blendedthread.ca/ Saskatchewan Manitoba Beautiful custom printed fabric by pre order. Takes 8-12 weeks for delivery. Quality excellent.

https://buttonsandbibs.ca/ Ontario Custom prints & stock – Happy with what I ordered.

https://watertowertextiles.ca/ Leamington Ontario Stock & order – Nice stuff

https://www.thefabricsnob.com/ Manitoba Stock & Custom Her knits are very wide – usually 72” Because she has grown so much in the sewing community her delivery time is a little longer.

https://www.westcoastfabricboutique.com/pages/about-us Vancouver Island. They do a lot of their sales re Facebook. European knits such as Sweat & French Terry (One of my favorites) Their retail site is a lot to be desired best to join her FB group.

https://blackrabbitfabric.com Great source of basic knits & ribbing. Colour cards available. Quick delivery time. (the large loop terry is so thick & lush)

A lot of the shops that carry stock get their fabrics from the same suppliers. Prices are all comparable. If one place is sold out of a colour you may find it at another.
