I finished my first pair of (extremely wonky) loom socks!
Pair of orange tone marled wool socks knit on a handheld loom.
They´re much more the same size than they appear to be here, and, amazingly, they fit well. However . . . there are some issues!
The cuff is particularly nice; I´m not a fan of rib knit sock tops. A folded cuff like this gives the top of the sock some stability, but doesn´t crowd the leg. And it was surprisingly easy to do.

and flecks of pink and purple.
Which didn´t mean that I did the first one right; I think I slightly misaligned the stitches, contributing to a bit of a twist in the sock. It´s a learning curve!

The inside of the cuff is very neat and tidy; it makes up this way practically automatically, which is an encouraging start for a clumsy novice like me.

A twist is visible especially in the leg portion of the sock.
However, there´s so much wrong with these socks! There´s a severe twist running from cuff to toe; that´s at least partly my fault (that possibly misaligned cuff hem, and maybe an issue with the way I knit on the loom); my grafting stitches (the toe) are a total disaster; and there may be other issues.
Oddly, the heels and the toe decreases and increases worked out well. No gaping holes! And, as noted above, the size is just about perfect. As a result, they won´t be wasted; these will be camping socks, for wearing in bed on cold nights.
