I´m not much of a fan of uniforms, unless I get to choose them myself. And I do that all the time! Most of what I wear, on an everyday basis, consists of some kind of ´uniform´ — involving a formulaic method that lets me grab something to wear without thinking about it.

As a result, I tend to make multiples of my most useful clothing. This top is no exception — it´s another self-draft, virtually identical to this one, but with a very different look.
In terms of construction, there´s little to add to the previous post. Of course, I sewed the hidden weight to the front of the cowl — that´s such a good trick for making the top truly wearable.

In the mid-21st century teens, I made a bunch of these tops — about a half dozen — and I´m still wearing them. Although they´re made from various combinations of fibers, they´re all almost like wearing air on sweltering days, and they cope beautifully with humidity and sweat (or ´dew´, if you prefer!).

These tops are just right when linen is too much, or too nice to wear: As summer ´utility´ garments, these casual tops couldn´t be better!
